This is one of the many issues the police disregard and inaccurately tell residents they can do nothing about. Shooting at anything in a high density neighborhood is not safe, endangers everyone including children, is cruel to the animals, a health hazard to leave the bodies laying around, etc. It's ridiculous behavior and illegal from what I've been told by those in the know. The shooter should be confronted and cited TODAY before someone gets terribly hurt or worse.

This has been an ongoing issue w the neighbor for years. Last time I called the police about it, the officer said, "well, the squirrels are getting in his roof". Well then fix your freaking roof! I don't care if it's a pellet gun. You can't shoot stuff in city limits. It's another issue of police saying it's codes, codes saying it's police and no one does anything about it.

I have pled for years with our 'country' neighbor! He has the means to block his building and cut limbs holding nests, but he grew up thinking the pellet gun was fine too. It is... in open space. The big issue for me is the ARMED pursuit. It super freaks me out! Imagine, standing there with coffee and camera smelling roses in gated back yard, when man comes running out his 3rd floor apt with rifle. This same neighbor is, and has always been nice, polite, clean and caring home owner and citizen. He can be turned without a fine, I just don't think he has been explained properly by our officials...

We do not live in a time when anyone should be running around with a rifle, pellet or not. Even for his own safety. Someone could shoot him thinking he is a danger. Surely the city is not this naive. Address the problem. For citizens to say they have tried to address this for years with him and with the city is absurd. This behavior should have been addressed and a stop put to it immediately.
